If there was one question that we would say we have been asked the most it would be " Where did you get the name for your company?" The answer is found in the immortal words of Lisa as we were sitting at a table in our house in Nova Scotia where she was finishing a bear. As she held him up to closely examine him she sighed " Ohhhhh, little Joe." Needless to say the name stuck, at least to the company.( not to the bear ) We will certainly find the bear whose name deserves to be Little Joe......and if Mike has his way it will be a monster of a bear a la Little John from Robin Hood........

We find inspiration in our children when they aren't driving us crazy. After all with five of them there is bound to be one of them who is after something. Fortunately it usually isn't one of the bears. All of the bears receive approval from the children, along with suggestions for accessories. " No Connor, that bear doesn't need camo pants and a grenade launcher."

Jenille makes bears when the mood moves her and Connor is just starting to sew. If this keeps up we will need to find shop space just to accomodate all the work tables.
