I've always had a creative nature and have enjoyed handcrafted projects of many kinds. In 1990, after making just one teddy bear with a friend and watching it come to life, all of my other interests took a back seat. Over the next year, my creative focus turned to teddy bears and I was soon creating my own designs. With each new bear my passion increased. In 1991, I met and married my husband, Chris, an artist in his own right, and my staunchest supporter. Chris convinced me to take my creations to The Hugging Bear Inn & Shop, in Chester, VT. It was there that I was introduced to the world of teddy bear shows, exclusive teddy bear shops, and numerous, wonderful teddy bear collectors and artists.
