I started my artistic career a graphic designer/illustrator/muralist, and 18 years later have turned into a full-time bearmaker starting "One&Only"Bears almost 4 years ago. My first bears before that time were pretty bad in hindsight. But after discovering the world of "artist bears" and collectors through teddy bear magazines and eBay, I knew I had to ramp up my skills and materials. In keeping up with the incredibly talented competition I've found the artistry of soft-sculpting, which has led to a career truly challenging my artistic temperament and satisfying my need for creating things of beauty. The ability to create beauty from such unlikely disparate parts like fabric, hardware, glass, and fluff is a constant wonder to me and I want this wonder to come across in the faces of my buddies.
