Kalina Bears by Rhonda Woodward
My home is situated on the banks of the Bullatale Creek, a
few kilometres out of Tocumwal, in southern N.S.W., Australia.
At the rear of the house, overlooking the creek, is my studio, in
which I make the bears and from where I conduct my business.
I've been making mohair bears for only a couple of years but
have a wealth of experience in the fields of art, craft, & textiles
and over twenty years experience as a dress designer/maker.
My bear making aim is simply to make bears that I, myself, find
appealing. To this end the following criteria must be satisfied:
*the bear has an endearing personality;
*the craftmanship of the bear and the clothing is of the highest order;
*the interplay of colour, fabric, & texture is aesthetically pleasing.
