Hi, my name is Catherine Young and I am the person that brings these sweet Bumpkin characters to life. I am British but now live in a small rural village in Belgium, near to the artistic city of Antwerp.

I have always been creative, making hand made gifts for family and friends and pursued this love at College studying art and textile design.

I went to a teddy bear fair here in Belgium at Christmas 2001 and I got my first teddy making kit as a christmas present. Once I started I couldn't put him down and I've been caught by the bear making bug ever since!

My little Bumpkin Bears capture care free days, twinkling eyes of friendship and those ever important open arms for lots of cuddles.

They range in height from 11" up to 16" . They have a traditional look with a twist, each being a One of a Kind creation. I give them hand painted eyes that create such innocent little faces.
