Bookshelf Bears by Crystal Smythe
,
http://www.bookshelfbears.comA lifelong love of sewing has led me in many directions since my early childhood, when my mother patiently shared with me her love of the art.
I made my first stuffed animal (a bear), when I was about 5 years old, and have experimented with just about every sewing technique since; through garment construction and tailoring, quilting, heirloom sewing, original machine embroidery, and now. . . bears! It satisfies.
I fashion my bears from scratch, using the finest materials. I pay great attention to detail, and am proud to offer my bears for sale to even the most discriminating arctophile.
I was pleased to have one of my bears nominated for a 1998 Golden Teddy Award, and astounded to receive another nomination this year, for the 1999 Golden Teddy Award! It is truly an honor to be among such a talented, creative and distinctive group.
