Born in Perth (WA), I live with my husband Roy in the Western Australian coastal city of Mandurah. I began my journey into the world of bear making in 1998 and registered Beary Loveable Bears as a Trade Mark in 2002 when I started designing and creating my own mohair collectable bears.
I have created a mixture of quite traditional bears and rather unusual little characters. I frequently use hand dyed mohair and add woolly hair to my bears using either wool or mohair. I dye the mohair and wool myself using cold water dye, to create (it's been said), these rather unusual bears. The bears range in size from about 14cm to 45cm (5½" to 18"). I enjoy experimenting with colour and fabric so Beary Loveable Bears are One of a Kind or very Limited Editions. These fully jointed teddy bears are collectable artist bears and are not suitable as toys for young children.
