Born in Perth (WA), I live with my husband Roy in the Western Australian coastal city of Mandurah. I have been designing and creating my own mohair collectable bears since 2002.
My bears are a mixture of quite traditional bears and rather unusual little characters. I frequently use hand dyed mohair and add woolly hair to my bears using either wool or mohair. Many of my bears (and the occasional Golly), are dressed. The bears range in size from about 14cm to 45cm (5½" to 18"). I enjoy experimenting with colour and fabric so Beary Loveable Bears are OOAK or very Limited Editions. These fully jointed teddy bears are collectable artist bears and are not suitable as toys for young children.
