Hello! My name is Roxanne Propp, and I live in west Texas, where I have a awesome little shop where I can create my teddies and critters. I worked as a hairdresser for 10 years in Colorado before moving to Texas. Then after my children became young teenagers, I began to play around with tole painting followed by quilting This in turn lead me to bear making. My bears are made from mohair. The open mouth bears have polymer teeth inserts. These are all individually hand sculpted, which creates my specialty "smiling open-mouth bears". They just seem to bring a smile to everyone that sees them. I like to describe my work as "realistic, but with a few artistic privileges!"
